Welcoming a new baby is a hard and unpredictable journey. When you hire a doula, you’re setting yourself up for the experience you want to have regardless of how it unfolds. We want you to begin your postpartum journey feeling empowered, capable, and fully supported! We want you to be able to look back on your birth experience and feel powerful and capable of doing hard things.
Our team of compassionate, highly trained doulas is honored to support you and dedicated to providing exceptional care and support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. Every member of our team is professionally trained and certified as a birth, postpartum, or full-spectrum doula, combining evidence-based knowledge with compassionate, personalized care for every family they serve.
When you're matched with one of our doulas, you're not only benefiting from their individual knowledge and experience—you also have the support of the entire EBA team behind the scenes. We collaborate, share resources, and learn from one another so you can benefit from the collective experience of our whole practice.

Meet Hays Kocinski
Hi, I'm Hayley—but everyone calls me Hays! I'm the owner of EBA, a lifelong Alaskan, and the proud parent of three amazing kids.
I became a doula because I have always been the person who cares for the people around me—the one who notices when someone needs support, reassurance, or a steady presence. Birth felt like the perfect place to bring that instinct.
I'm passionate about helping create a different birth experience—one where families feel safe, informed, respected, and empowered. Birth is an incredibly transformative experience, and I believe everyone deserves compassionate, evidence-based support as they navigate it. My goal is to help you feel confident in your decisions and genuinely cared for every step of the way.
Much of my continuing education has focused on perinatal mental health because I know how deeply emotional well-being shapes the postpartum experience. When parents feel supported, cared for, and mentally well, they're better equipped to navigate the challenges of welcoming a new baby with confidence and resilience.
My training and experience include birth and postpartum doula support, perinatal mental health, trauma-informed care, lactation and infant feeding support, and professional photography. I'm a lifelong learner and love continuing to grow so I can provide the best possible care to the families I serve.
Outside of EBA, I'm honored to serve as the Vice President of the Alaska Birth Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to education, advocacy, and support for Alaskan families. I'm deeply committed to improving birth experiences in our community and helping create lasting, positive change for families across Alaska.

Meaning that circumstances aren’t what create trauma, it’s our thoughts and feelings in response to the circumstances that have the biggest impact. Having an empathetic witness who validates your feelings and is present with you throughout your journey makes ALL the difference in how you feel about the circumstance.
